It seems like Tennessee and Oklahoma (my state) are in a race to the bottom with each other to see just how much like the dark ages they can make their education systems. This article does a great job of pointing out how Republicans in states like these are trying to enforce a particular equivalency of views when actual facts and evidence do not hold up.

It is still stunning that we allow our Congressional reps to get by with hobbling the IRS while some push to reduce Medicare and Medicaid. A weakened IRS means a pass for the rich cheating our givernment out of the taxes they owe.

There will be many on the Right who think this isn’t justified; but, the Army is not going to risk having an entertainer imply assasination of the CIC in front of troops who would be in for severe punishment for doing the same.
This story is not going away because it was a little girl who was handcuffed this time. Boys this age have been getting this treatment for some years now. Elementary school discipline programs are full of boys, and little concern has been voiced. But now…a girl….well!
